Stewardship is not fundraising, raising money or just about money. It is a way of life. It is spirituality rather than theology. Stewardship spirituality does not replace but deepens the spirituality you already have.
Why do we do Stewardship at IHM?
At IHM, we desire to grow in the spirituality of stewardship. By embracing and practicing stewardship as a way of life, we will ensure that our parish continues to be self-sustaining, spirit-filled, and vibrant. The six pillars of the IHM Stewardship Program (Prayer, Earth, Faith, Time & Talent, Treasure, and Vocations), the Core Values of the Program (Identity, Trust, Gratitude, and Love), and your involvement help support this goal.
How do we do Stewardship?
At IHM, we are following the blueprint from the book Making Stewardship a Way of Life, written by Fr. Andrew and Mila Glodava. This blueprint has been implemented at other parishes with great success. In order to implement this we will be celebrating the pillars of Stewardship at different points in the year.
Our Pillars of Stewardship
Stewardship of Prayer- March
Stewardship of Earth- April
Stewardship of Time & Talent- July
Stewardship of Faith- September
Stewardship of Treasure- October
Stewardship of Vocation- November
We invite all parishioners to join us on our journey in the spirituality of stewardship as we embrace the Stewardship as a Way of Life mindset that we are the church and everything that we are and everything that we have comes from God. By sharing your time, talent, and treasure to take care of the church and each other, we will live out our parish mission.
