The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults 18 years and older (RCIA) program at Immaculate Heart of Mary is currently underway and will run to May 20, 2025. Classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in our church. Students pay a registration fee of $50 and will receive a Catholic Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and a three-ring binder with all 38 lessons plus many more resources.
Most of the classes are taught by our clergy (priests and deacons) except for a couple of classes. We start and end every class with prayer. The guest instructor for the evening will present the lesson and then at approximately 7:25 pm, the class will break off into small groups for questions and discussion.
Once a month, we will have a fellowship dinner meal provided by IHM for all the students to join us and break bread. This meal is held starting at 5:30 pm before one of the classes. The monthly meals are optional for students.
In the spring of 2025, we will host a day-long retreat at Mother Cabrini Shrine in Golden as many of the students will prepare to receive their sacraments.
“I cannot thank you enough for being so welcoming. This is a wonderful church. You guys saved my soul! How can I thank you enough!”
“Thank all of you so much for all of your time! I’m so grateful to be a part of RCIA.”
“I’ve enjoyed the easiness of being able to begin the process of getting my sacraments done as well as my daughters. I appreciate joining a parish where I don’t feel judged or get scolded.”
