The Gospel lives in conversation with culture, and if the Church holds back from the culture, the Gospel itself falls silent. Therefore, we must be fearless in crossing the threshold of the communication and information revolution now taking place.

– Saint John Paul II

Communications

The Communications mission is one of evangelization and is dedicated to helping those inside the parish become better equipped to be “Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. (Mt 28:19)

Through the use of technology and respect for our Catholic tradition, the Communications Ministry works to help bring people closer to Christ. Here’s an overview of the different areas of this ministry.

The bulletin is the primary outreach and communication tool for those in the parish. Many at Immaculate Heart of Mary get their information about what’s happening at the parish through the bulletin.

Members of the parish may submit items to the bulletin. All items are subject to staff review and approval, and will be placed after review pending available space.

All items must be submitted by Friday COB of the week before.

Audio & Video

Audio & Video

Running our audio and video during Mass and other events is an important component to the liturgy. When done well, it helps the experience that someone has at Mass. When done poorly, it distracts from what we’re here for: Christ.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact us. The weekly commitment is limited, and a great way to also get your weekly obligation at Mass.

Information Technology

Information Technology

This may be a surprise to some, but there’s an incredible amount of technology to keep things running at Immaculate Heart of Mary. To networking that lets us take payments and make phone calls, to the computers that let us do our every day work: it takes technology.

We are always in need of volunteers to help things run smoothly and efficiently, while keeping the costs down. If you’re able to assist, we’d love for your time and talent.

Digital Evangelization

Digital Evangelization

We are moving to a digital world. People communicate online, and for the Church, it is no different. Having a strong digital presence is important, not just for those already in the parish, but for those outside of it.
