2019 Clergy Update

Archdiocese of Denver Clergy Announcement

On Wednesday, the Archdiocese announced the priestly assignments to go into effect on June 19, 2019, and there are several updates which impact our parish (some of which you heard about at Mass last weekend).

Last week we announced that Father Mason and Father Isidore will be leaving for new assignments June 19. Father Isidore will be heading down to Notre Dame Parish as Parochial Vicar, and Father Mason will be working in the Office for Vicar of Clergy as Coordinator for the Continuing Formation for Priests.

Another big change on June 19 is that Father Declan Creighton, LC is coming to Immaculate Heart of Mary as our new pastor and Father James Spahn will then be able to focus all his energy and efforts toward the building and development of Saint John Paul II Parish.

To help Father Declan, we will also be welcoming Father Miljenko Pavkovic as Parochial Vicar at Immaculate Heart of Mary.

As mentioned, none of the above changes go into effect until June 19. Let us know what questions you have, and please continue to pray for our priests in their vocations. Deo gratias.
